VIETNAM VETERAN

Still Thinks He is in The 60's

Thanks and I'm impressed but much more sounds like bragging and my baldness will scare off the older fans of the day.  I actually have others (info) in the college where I taught and some PG County police stuff but the bad guys may hunt me down.  I am after all a living escape artist.  The 1964 comet was best known at school so I will have to get you Sox and Martin Car photos. The 4th infantry Division at Fort Lewis is correct then onto the 18th engr Brigade 554 engr co (FB) Float Bridge.  Vince Serio, Ray (Butch) Polen, Steven Faison all of DHS 64 served along side of me all through Nam and should be recognized.  Faison was from West Lanham and Polen from 94th ave Seabrook.  Perhaps Peggy Thornton can give you more.  We went from Benning (66) in boot to ETS in 68 almost every day close by but diff platoons.  I still hold the Barbers license (40) years but teaching credentials are expired.  Degrees include A.A.S. Associate in applied science in Public Service technology Delaware Technical and Comm. College, Georgetown, De. 1984. A Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice University of Delaware1987, Master of Education Md. from Salisbury State  University  1990 and lastly a A.A.S. from Del Tech in Automotive Technology 2001.  Worked as PG County Police Officer, State of Delaware Dept of Corrections, Div of Probation and Parole Officer, Family Court System , State of Delaware Court Security and Bailiff, Sussex Technical High School Dept Chair and lead teacher, Criminal Justice Technology Georgetown De.  Also worked at Peoples Place in Milford De as a counselor and caseworker for Viet Nam Veterans and drug dependent veterans ,administrative duties. Finally retired to the private sector as Owner Camaro/Classic Corner restorations.  Most challenging of all?  SP/4 US Army Bridge Specialist original survivor Viet Nam War 66-68, Chu Lai South Viet Nam.  I'm still just a car guy who bench races, rides in old muscle cars and street rods and still "Remembers When"  I never divulged all this stuff before so we can work through these rough spots as these careers caused conflict with powerful people who consider car people like bikers as outlaws. I've had a busy and varied life and look forward to cruising more down south.  Please keep all Va. stuff confidential while I figure out how to do the picture thing from the folders, Thanks and best to Firebase Sandy! Thank you Doug for the picture and some history about you take care Firebase Sandy AO Florida Ed & Sandy (Graham) Lyons 5/31/2004 P.S. Send some more Pix of old muscle cars

This is Malcolm Durhams 1965 altered wheelbase injected chevy rat powered big block Chevelle, taken at Lions Drag Strip. It was built in Bladensburg Maryland at Race Car Engineering, which was Malcomlms Shop. The shop is still open! The Nostalgia Car still runs and is maintained by the family and is run by his three sons.!
